A duplicate titleId message appears

What you see

  • ShadowMountPlus shows a duplicate titleId notification.
  • Two of your sources offer the same game.

What it means

ShadowMountPlus mounts your own game backups. Each game has a Title ID. If ShadowMountPlus finds two sources (folders or images) with the same Title ID, it shows a duplicate titleId notification. Its README asks you to keep only one source per Title ID. The README does not say which of the two copies it uses.

What to do

Find the two sources in the log

Open /data/shadowmount/debug.log and read the ShadowMountPlus notifications to see which two sources share the Title ID and which one you want to keep.

When to stop

Do not delete the other copy yet

Do not delete the second copy before you confirm which one ShadowMountPlus is actually using. If you delete the wrong one, you lose the copy that works.
