Check the proxy settings on the PS5
The README says the PC running the proxy must be on the same network as the PS5 and reachable at its local IP. In the PS5 internet setup, choose to set it up manually, leave DNS and MTU on Automatic, and set the proxy server to your PC's local IP and port 8080. A "Can't connect to the internet" message is expected and can be ignored after you press OK.

Start the logging server too
The README says the script triggers after the WebSocket used for remote logging starts, so run ws.py as well. If you use the Docker setup, check the mitmproxy and ws logs to see that both services started.
Retry the way the README says
If Netflix closes shortly after you open it, open it again. If a green Exception error appears, press X or O to retry. If Lapse fails, a notification tells you to reboot, and you must reboot before you retry.

A notification on its own does not show that the kernel exploit finished. The README describes a separate P2JB variant only for firmware 10.x–12.40, with its own steps and an estimated time of about 70 minutes. Do not apply it to other firmware versions.
