Missing or invalid param.json or param.sfo
Low risk✓ ProvenWhat you see
- The log shows missing or invalid param.json or param.sfo, and the title is not recognized.
What it means
ShadowMountPlus reads a game's details from param.json or param.sfo inside the sce_sys folder. When the log reports missing/invalid param.json/param.sfo, it cannot recognize the title.
What to do
Check that sce_sys is where it should be
For a game folder, the file must be at sce_sys/param.json or sce_sys/param.sfo inside that folder. For an image, sce_sys must be at the root of the image.
Look for an extra folder at the image root
An extra top-level folder inside the image can stop the title from being recognized.
For an image, look inside the mount
Over FTP, open the folder for that image under /mnt/shadowmnt/. Its name is the image name followed by a hash. Check that the param file is there.
As a check, make sure the files belong to this game
The Title ID and the sce_sys folder should come from the same copy of your game. Do not reuse a param.json from another title.
Let the scanner register it again and read the log
After you fix the copy, wait for the next scan. Then check /data/shadowmount/debug.log and look for any Register failed notification.
When to stop
Do not make up metadata
Do not create made-up metadata files. Make the copy again from your own intact original.
Do not copy databases between consoles
Do not copy app.db from another console. A missing logo or description does not prove the game will not run, and no single confirmed fix for missing title details was found.
