prospero-win shows no games
Medium risk✓ ProvenWhat you see
- prospero-win opens its blue launcher, but the game list is empty.
- A game you set up does not appear after copying or updating the app.
What it means
prospero-win runs Windows games you own on a jailbroken PS5, through Wine. A game shows up in its launcher only through a profile: each game has a Wine prefix (its C: drive) and a profile file, and the launcher reads its list from profiles/profiles.lst. The first time you open it, the list is empty and it asks you to add profiles to /data/prospero-win/profiles. Its getting-started guide documents the steps below.
What to do
Note the build
The app saves a log of each run in /data/prospero-win/logs/. Each log file starts with a PW_REPORT/1 line that names the build and the game.
Install the whole app folder
The app is the folder PPSA99995, with eboot.bin, its Wine runtime and its modules. Upload the whole folder to /data/homebrew/ and let your loader register it. Copying only eboot.bin is not enough.
Check the profile list
profiles/profiles.lst must list your profile's file name, one per line. The prefix = line in the profile must match the game's folder under prefixes/.
Check elfldr and lapy.elf
elfldr must be listening on port 9021, and the app must contain lapy.elf. If that request does not complete, the app stops before it loads the profiles.
Update without losing your games
To update, replace the whole PPSA99995 folder. Your games and settings live in /data/prospero-win and are kept. Saves stay in each game's prefix.
When to stop
Do not delete /data/prospero-win
That folder holds your games' prefixes, saves and settings. Deleting it to start over loses them. Copy it to a PC first if you must reinstall.
Do not update the console
Never update the PS5 firmware to make a game appear. The guide says the app itself doesn't depend on the firmware: the jailbreak, the app loader and the Lapy daemon do, and each lists the firmwares it supports.
